What are the three (3) hardest things about being a Miss??
For me it’s the reality of knowing that in one year I will be graduating college and beginning the next chapter of my life, finding the time to accomplish everything I want to do and the transition from a girl to a woman. These are exciting, not hard at all!
What motivates you?
Every day we see another disaster accompanied by a miracle. I wonder who is there for that little girl who survived an F4 tornado, while her family was not spared. I am motivated by the hearts broken by grief. I can’t prevent the pain but I can provide the hope!
What do you do in your spare time?
Between being a Tidetv/ Foxsports south reporter, the international spokesperson for the Rainbows Organization, an active member of my sorority and a title holder I have very little free time. When I do have time to spare, I enjoy dancing and losing myself in the music.
Of all the clothes you own, what is your favorite and why?
My Crimson Tide football jersey! It reminds me of why I chose to attend a school eighteen hours away from home and the tradition and faith UA represents. After the devastation of the April 27th tornado’s and witnessing my state rebuild together, I couldn’t be more proud to represent it.
Do you have any famous relatives?
My mother was Mrs. Maryland International 2002 and I believe that all International title holders are celebrities for making a difference in this world. But as far as being famous, my grandfather can trace his heritage back to Scottish royalty. You know what they say…if the crown fits wear it!
